VOLKSLAUF XII, 11 OCTOBER 20081. All runners must
start VOLKSLAUF in their designated category. Once you've obtained your
Runner's Packet at the Registration table, you may not change your category.
2. All runners must at least attempt to complete every obstacle unless a
demonstrated special circumstance exists.
3. All teams must start, and finish, VOLKSLAUF together, in their respective
categories. Team times are based on the time for the last team member
crossing the Finish Line.
4. All runners must stay on the running trail unless injured or leaving the
course.
5. VOLKSLAUF is a fun, family-oriented, event. BUT no horseplay is allowed on
the course. Any runners involving themselves in horseplay will be DQ'd and
asked to leave the course.
6. Once you have finished VOLKSLAUF, please move through the Finish Line
area and off the course. Do not re-enter the course or play (or allow
children to play) on any obstacles.
7. Remember, Course Referees and VOLKSLAUF Staff are present to insure the
safety and "fun factor" of all runners. Please respect decisions made by
them. All decisions made by the Race Director in dealing with conduct of
runners on the course are final.
8. No dogs (except guide dogs) will be allowed on the
race site for any reason. Any person (runner or spectator) bringing a
dog onto the race site will be asked to return the dog to the owner's
vehicle. Due to most dogs' protective instincts, their inherent desire
to chase after things which "run" (be they human or otherwise) and some
dogs' attraction to water, there is significant liability in bringing a
dog onto the race site. The VOLKSLAUF Board of Directors respectfully
requests you honor this rule explicitly.
